Tasmanian born, Lisa Roberts Scott moved to France working at Casino du Monte Carlo as a cabaret artist at the age of 18. On returning to Melbourne she formed the Lisa Roberts Jazz Quartet. In 1996 she joined Melbourne City opera performing the roles of Musetta in La Boheme, Nedda in I Pagliacci and Adina in L'Elisir D'Amore. Lisa established Voices Studio 10, a singing studio employing teachers and providing performance opportunities for developing artists. In 2000 Lisa received 2 subsequent scholarships from the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust to study vocal development and Italian opera in Osimo, Italy. This study period lasted 8 years. While in Italy Lisa performed at Teatro della Muse in Ancona for 'Il Giorno del Ricordo' and a leading role in the operetta 'The Hawaii Flower' at the Metropolitan Theatre in Catania, Sicily. In 2007 Lisa was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Music Scholar from the AETT and is now an Artist in Residence at the Independent Theatre in North Sydney where she works as a singer, vocal teacher and specialist in vocal repair offering lessons in the state of the art auditorium at The Independent.
